The HubSpot app
go-find-out installs into a HubSpot portal and checks whether the portal, your Google Ads account and your landing page agree about where your leads came from. This page covers the whole lifecycle: install, connect, read the report, disconnect, uninstall, and what each step does to your data.
The app is invite-only for now. We install it with portals we work with directly while we work toward a public listing on the HubSpot App Marketplace. To have the CRM and ad-account checks run on your portal, write to contact@broscorp.net and we will send you an install link. Without an install, the scan runs the page-side checks on any landing page.
Before you install
You need to be a Super Admin in the HubSpot portal, or a user who can install apps there. You need nothing else. There is no account to create with us, and nothing to add to your site.
1. Install
Install from the link we send you. Once the app is listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace, you will be able to install it from there too. HubSpot shows a consent screen listing what the app may read. Each item is there for a reason, and none of them is write access:
| HubSpot asks for | What we read with it |
|---|---|
| Contacts — read | Recent contacts and their source and click-ID properties: how many arrived with no source data, and how many paid contacts are missing a click ID |
| Contact schema — read | Whether the UTM and click-ID properties exist on the portal at all |
| Forms | Your form definitions and submission counts, so we can see which form dropped a click ID and whether submissions become contacts |
Every check is a read. The app writes nothing to your portal: no contact, property, form or workflow is created or changed.
2. Connect Google Ads
Some of the checks need both sides. Whether conversions come back to Google Ads against the click IDs in your CRM is one of them. To run those, connect your Google Ads account from the link in the app. That sign-in happens on a Google page, not inside HubSpot, and asks for read access to the ad account you pick.
Connecting Google is optional. Without it, the HubSpot and landing-page checks still run. The report marks the checks that needed Google as not run, never as passed.
3. Read the report
The report opens inside HubSpot, on the app’s page. Each finding says what was checked, what we saw, and what to change. Some breakages leave identical evidence. When that happens, the report names the possible causes and stops, instead of guessing which one it is.
If one of the connected systems could not be read — an expired connection, an outage — the report says that run was partial. A partial run is never shown as a clean bill of health.
Disconnect Google Ads
Remove go-find-out from your Google account’s third-party access. The next run marks the Google checks as not run. Nothing else changes.
Uninstall
In HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Connected apps, find go-find-out, and choose Uninstall.
What uninstalling deletes
Everything we hold for the portal lives in one store that belongs to that portal alone. Uninstalling deletes that store as a whole: the HubSpot and Google connections, and every finding and past report. There is no partial copy kept elsewhere.
We never stored your contacts to begin with. A run reads them, checks them, and keeps only the findings — counts and properties, not people. The details are in what we do with your data.
